Fairtrade is a social movement to prevent rich businesses from ripping off poor countries. It’s primarily focused on the import of handicrafts, coffee, cocoa, sugar, tea, bananas, honey, cotton, wine, fresh fruit, and flowers.

Dior Phone

Christian Dior has launched a mobile phone, embedded with Swarovski crystals, designed by ModeLabs. The phone is primarily marketed to China and Russia, so no idea if it’s going to be coming to NZ; surely someone will get one somehow. The cost of the phone is supposedly $5000USD, so I don’t expect this to pop up on TradeMe.

The phone features include everything you expect on a mobile, as well as a camera, touchscreen and a new gimmick dubbed My Dior.

My Dior communicates with the main unit so it allows the user to pick-up and make calls. It is about the same size as a USB and it clips to the outside of a bag for easier access.
